How is the 8-hour tour time allocated?

Our planning allowance is approximately 285 minutes at sightseeing stops and breaks, 175 minutes driving between locations and returning towards Auckland, plus 20 minutes of flexibility for traffic, parking and boarding. This includes the approximately 15-minute Harbour Bridge scenic-driving segment; there is no stop on the bridge. The Mission Bay allowance includes the lunch break; meals are purchased separately.

Stop durations are approximate and may vary with traffic, weather, opening hours, access and the needs of the group. Your driver may adjust the order or redistribute time between stops. These are planning allowances, not guaranteed driving forecasts or fixed appointments.

The advertised tour duration begins after the final passenger pickup. Accommodation collections and final return drop-offs require additional time.

Where do you pick up and drop off?

Complimentary collection is available from your hotel, accommodation or another agreed address within Auckland CBD or up to 5 km by road from Britomart. Enter your pickup and drop-off addresses when booking. Locations outside this area require separate agreement and may incur an additional charge.

Collections begin up to 30 minutes before the 9:00 am departure, normally between 8:30 and 9:00 am. We will confirm your individual pickup time before travel. Please be ready at your accommodation’s main entrance five minutes before that confirmed time.

Separate guests may be collected from different accommodation addresses. The eight-hour sightseeing tour begins after the final pickup and includes a lunch break. Please allow extra time for collections and return drop-off.

Can you collect me from Auckland Airport?

Auckland Airport is outside the complimentary tour pickup area. Airport collection can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to timing and availability. Allow enough time for arrival formalities and travel to the tour.

For direct Auckland Airport ↔ Auckland City transfers, refer to the fixed fares in the Airport & Private Transfers booking form. A separate airport transfer is not included in the tour fare.

What is included?
  • Shared transport in a Standard Fleet vehicle appropriate to the departure.
  • A professional driver and English-language commentary.
  • The advertised sightseeing route and photo stops, subject to conditions.
  • Complimentary pickup and drop-off within the stated collection area.
  • Bottled water and normal parking charges.
  • GST included in the advertised fare.
What is not included?
  • Attraction admission tickets, including entry inside Auckland Museum.
  • Meals and drinks other than the complimentary bottled water.
  • Airport transfers or travel outside the complimentary pickup/drop-off area.
  • Personal purchases and optional gratuities.
  • Any special equipment or additional services unless specifically confirmed as included.

No admission ticket is needed for the advertised exterior sightseeing stops. Do not purchase museum admission expecting an interior visit during this eight-hour shared tour.

Is lunch included in the eight hours?

Yes—the tour duration includes a lunch break of approximately 45–60 minutes in Mission Bay, along with driving, sightseeing stops and optional short walks. Lunch itself is not included in the fare. Purchase food locally or bring your own.

Can children and infants travel?

Yes. Add every passenger to the booking, including infants under two, so we can plan the correct vehicle and seating. Infants under two are charged NZ$124.50 each and occupy their own passenger seat with an appropriate child restraint. Lap travel is not offered.

Use the special-requests question to tell us each child’s age and the restraint required. Children must travel with an appropriate restraint where required; we will confirm availability, suitability and any additional charge. Anyone under 18 must travel with an adult aged 18 or over.

What about accessibility, luggage and special requests?

Walking is optional. Mount Eden’s summit involves an uphill walk from the vehicle drop-off area, and paths at North Head can be uphill or uneven. Some viewpoints cannot be reached by vehicle. Tunnel access at North Head is not guaranteed. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring weather-appropriate clothing. Please describe mobility requirements, a wheelchair or other equipment in the special-requests question, including whether it folds and whether the passenger can transfer to a vehicle seat.

Small day bags are recommended. Tell us about suitcases, pushchairs or bulky items when booking so we can confirm space. Requests are reviewed individually and are not guaranteed until confirmed; additional charges may apply.

Can I pay a deposit, and how do I pay the remaining balance?

Where offered at checkout, you can pay a 30% deposit or pay in full. The remaining 70% is due no later than 24 hours before the advertised tour departure. Bookings made within two days of departure require full payment.

You can pay the balance securely through Manage my booking in your confirmation email. We also send a reminder two days before travel with a direct link to your booking portal.

Your booking portal shows your current payment status. Once your balance is paid in full, you can download your updated ticket showing Paid in full and your latest invoice reflecting all payments received.

If you need assistance or haven’t received your reminder, please contact us.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled tour departure for a full refund of your tour payment, including any deposit. For customer cancellations less than 24 hours before departure, or no-shows, payments are normally non-refundable, subject to applicable consumer rights. Any cancellation charge will not exceed the total fare or a reasonable estimate of our loss.

The deadline is based on the selected tour departure time, rather than your individual accommodation pickup time. Your checkout shows the applicable cancellation deadline. Use the customer booking portal where cancellation is available, or contact us promptly with your booking reference.

Is there a minimum number of passengers?

Solo travellers are welcome to book. Shared departures normally require at least three passengers aged two or over across all bookings. Infants count towards vehicle capacity but not this minimum. We may operate with fewer passengers at our discretion.

If we cannot operate because minimum numbers are not reached, we will notify you at least 24 hours before departure and offer an alternative departure or a full refund of payments made. You do not have to accept an alternative.

What if the itinerary changes or you cancel my tour?

We may adjust stop order and timings for traffic, weather, safety, opening hours or access. If we cancel your tour, we will offer an alternative or a full refund of payments made for that tour. If we make a significant change you do not accept, we will offer an alternative or a refund for the affected service. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

What happens after booking?

Check your confirmation email and ticket for the tour date, departure, passenger numbers, pickup/drop-off details and payment status. Tell us promptly if any information is incorrect.

We will confirm your individual collection time before travel and respond separately to special requests. An unpaid reservation or a ticket marked Awaiting Payment is not evidence of successful payment.
